Beware the wounded Mancunians... and Brisbane

After a disastrous mid-week for the Manchester big boys, they’ll return to the Premier League with full-on with fury and you certainly wouldn’t want to face them this week.

Poor old Wolves will face the trip to Old Trafford after United’s European exit, they’re a massive $13 to take all three points, $6.20 the draw and I doubt you’ll be surprised to hear United are a very short priced favourite to bounce back here at $1.33.

Man City on the other hand, has a tougher task. They’ll head to Stamford Bridge and punters are torn in this one. In the battle of the ‘billionaires’, Chelsea are slight favourites at $2.44 to some-what of a surprise, although, a hard fought win against high-flying Newcastle was worth taking note of I suppose. City are $2.80, one of the biggest prices you’ll see this season for them in match betting, but Chelsea has been good to Betstar punters over the years so let’s see if that continues… the trend could well shift on the outcome of this cracker on Tuesday morning.

Our Spanish friends will be up and about this weekend for ‘El Clasico’ and the Bernabeu hosts this season’s first edition of this not-so-friendly bout. Read Madrid, who are 3 points clear on top of La Liga, are favourites at $2.32, Barca $2.80 and punters are yet again torn. There’s been some unusual money for the fence-sitting draw at $3.35. Some incredible stats for ‘El Clasico’ – they’ve met on 215 occasions, Real Madrid winning 86 times, Barca 84 and 45 draws. Think that’s incredible? Try this… in competitive matches against each other, Real Madrid have scored 354 goals with Barcelona just behind on 347, amazing stuff after 109 years of battle!

Meanwhile, back home, the Roar’s historic run is over and you have to feel for Melbourne Heart who’ll be facing them on the rebound at Suncorp. Van’t Schip’s men are a massive $7.20 while punters can’t get enough of Brisbane at the $1.45 – an unlikely draw $4.10. Arnie’s Mariners are slowly creeping up the table too, they face Newcastle in the F3 derby and Central Coast are warm favourites at $1.79, the Jets $4.40 - $3.45 the draw.

This week, Betstar is bringing back a Green and Gold Army favourite – the Schwarzer clean sheet, it’s been a hit for punters and here’s another chance to clean us up… $3.75 is the big big price for the great Aussie shot stopper to not concede a goal away to Swansea this weekend!
