A big week in England with two cup competitions, transfer window set to close and a bit of premier league chaos to boot. Mad Monday proved just that, punters frantically jumping into Man City and they made their mark on Spurs – like some City players. City’s win and United getting over the line against Arsenal now all but confirms the title will be heading to Manchester. The blue half $1.45 to claim glory, the red $3.50.

The weekend ahead in motherland provides some cracking action in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Liverpool will be beaming with confidence after booking their spot in the Carling Cup final mid-week, and, after rolling City in the League Cup they now face bitter rivals United at Anfield. You won’t be surprised to hear that we’ve had big interest in this match but it may surprise you that Liverpool will go in $2.52 favourites – the Reds fan punting with their hearts maybe? Anyhow, Man United are $2.70 and $3.25 if you think this one will go back to Old Trafford.

After Super Timmy got back on the scoresheet last weekend, albeit in controversial circumstances, he’ll have the buzz back in his game. His Everton boys are $2 to claim a home win against Fulham $3.60 and there’s a little North East derby between Boro where Socceroos Rhys Williams and Scott McDonald will feature as they travel to the Stadium of Light. Sunderland starts $1.70 favourites and Middlesbrough $4.90 for the upset win and local bragging rights.

Back home, Mariners continue on their merry way. An incredible 11 points clear now and unbeaten run of 15 matches. Compare that to the 10 points that separate 2nd to 9th on the table, so every point between now and finals are absolutely vital for those teams.

Two key games feature on Sunday as Wellington head back to the cake tin, they’ll look to get a buffer in third place and they face fourth placed Melbourne Heart. The Phoenix is $2.04 to bag maximum points while Melbourne Heart look to continue their good away form $3.50.

Meanwhile, after coughing up the lead last weekend against league-leaders Central Coast will hope to bounce back at home – and they are tipped to do so. The Reds $2.24 favourites, Perth $3.05, Draw $3.35.
