Australia's paralympic soccer team are going to have to do it the hard way if they want to qualify for next year's games in London.

The Pararoos landed a horror draw for the seven-a-side world soccer championships in the Netherlands, picked alongside Brazil, the host nation and Spain in Group A of next month's tournament.

A narrowly missing out on qualifying for the Beijing Paralympics in 2008, the Pararoos will enter the championships ranked 10th in the world and need a top eight finish to see them through to next year's games.

Coach Paul Brown was optimistic about the team's chances, despite the tough draw.

"We know we have a tough draw for the tournament and even though we narrowly lost to Spain last year, our squad has improved and I'm sure we'll be able to surprise them come June," he said.

Australia squad: David Barber (Capt, QLD), Chris Pyne (NSW), Ben Atkins (NSW), Jared Eiby (Qld), Brett Fairhall (NSW), Thomas Goodman (SA), Scott Kennedy (Qld), Sam Larkings (NSW), Beau Menzies (Qld), Jamie Paulsen (Qld), Ben Roche (Vic), Jack Williams (NSW).
