Mariners prodigy Mustafa Amini’s hopes of a dream move to German giants Borussia Dortmund are shot, according to Fox Sports.

John Taylor reports on foxsports.com.au that Central Coast had asked the Bundesliga champs for a $1-million transfer fee for the talented youngster.

But Amini's manager Buddy Farah says that an original fee of 200,000 Euros was set in response to Dortmund’s offer of $135,000.

"Then Dortmund receive a letter from Mariners chairman Peter Turnbull saying the club wants 700,000 euros ($A929,000) plus 20 per cent of future sales... They saw it as unrealistic and they are no longer interested in further discussions,” said Farrah in the report.

Amini is part of the Young Socceroos squad for its upcoming European tour.
