Brad Jones committed a gaffe in the Dutch Eredivisie, while Mat Ryan and Aaron Mooy met in the Premier League and Bradden Inman and Robbie Kruse hit the scoresheet.

Brad Jones was guilty of a defensive howler as Feyenoord won 3-1 over Twente in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday.

Leading 1-0 in the 24th minute, Jones received the ball inside the box at his feet, but his under-hit pass was intercepted by Adam Maher who tapped into an empty net.

Second-half goals from Steven Berghuis and Nicolai Jorgensen spared Jones’ blushes as Feyenoord kept alive their European hopes.

Feyenoord boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst said: “Of course Brad should not make such a mistake. He should have eliminated the ball.

“Because of that goal, we made it unnecessarily difficult for ourselves.”

Mat Ryan and Aaron Mooy squared off in the Premier League on Saturday as Brighton & Hove Albion drew 1-1 with Huddersfield.

Both played full games, with Ryan left in no man’s land for Town’s goal after a miscued back pass from Shane Duffy.

Mooy earned a 6/10 rating from the Huddersfield Examiner which wrote: “Not his most influential self at the Amex Stadium.”

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Brad Smith was an unused substitute as Bournemouth drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace.

In England’s League One, Bradden Inman got on the scoresheet as Rochdale drew 3-3 with Portsmouth.

Inman, who started and played 80 minutes, opened the scoring on 13 minutes with a fine right-foot strike.

In Germany’s 2.Bundesliga on Friday night, Robbie Kruse scored the goal which proved to be the difference as VfL Bochum edged former club Fortuna Dusseldorf 2-1.

Kruse netted his side’s second goal in the 75th minute to make it 2-0, before the hosts pulled one back.

The Australian, who was replaced in second-half stoppage-time, has netted five goals in the league this term.

In Germany’s Bundesliga, Mathew Leckie was absent for Hertha Berlin against his former club Borussia Moenchengladbach due to a neck injury. Hertha went down 2-1.

In Germany’s 3.Liga, Kwame Yeboah netted his second goal for Paderborn following his loan switch from Moenchengladbach, adding the sixth goal in a 6-0 rout over Carl Zeiss Jena. Yeboah was a 69th minute sub.

In Switzerland’s Super League, Trent Sainsbury made his starting debut for Grasshoppers in a 1-1 draw at Zurich. Sainsbury was replaced after 86 minutes, having been out with long-term injury.
