Socceroo Jamie Maclaren came off the bench to score a late leveller in Hibernian's 1-1 draw with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Maclaren converted with a close-range volley in the 86th minute, having been brought on only 10 minutes earlier.

The goal was the ex-Brisbane Roar striker's first of the campaign for Hibs following his season-long loan move.

New signing Mark Milligan wasn't in action for Hibs.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Jesse Curran and Ben Garuccio both played full games for Dundee and Hearts respectively, while Oliver Bozanic was an unused sub for the latter.

Tom Rogic played 67 minutes as Celtic defeated Hamilton 1-0 on Sunday.

In the Danish Superliga on Sunday, Awer Mabil got on the scoresheet in FC Midtjylland's 3-0 win over Randers.

Mabil opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time, firing in powerfully after a corner was headed back across goal.

The Australian winger flashed a volley wide in the second half, while his touch led to his side's third goal although Mayron George had plenty to do.

Mustafa Amini was also among the goals in Denmark, netting the opener with a header from a corner in AGF's 2-0 win over Hobro on Friday.

In the English Premier League, Mat Ryan produced a gutsy performance as Brighton lost 1-0 at Liverpool.

Ryan made a fine low save to deny Roberto Firmino's header in the ninth minute.

Elsewhere, Aaron Mooy put in a full shift as 10-man Huddersfield drew 0-0 with Cardiff City.

In League One, Cameron Burgess got on the scoresheet as Scunthorpe drew 2-2 with Kenny Dougall's Barnsley. Both Aussies played full games.

In the German Bundesliga, Mathew Leckie was absent with a minor knee injury as Hertha Berlin started the season with a 1-0 win over Nurnberg.

In the Dutch Eredivisie there was no PSV debut for Trent Sainsbury in their 2-1 win at PEC Zwolle who had Denis Genreau start and play 65 minutes.

Ajdin Hrustic started and played 84 minutes as Groningen won 1-0 at De Graafschap, while Mark Birighitti was on the bench for NAC Breda.

In Japan's J.League on Sunday, Mitch Langerak put in a full shift in goal as Nagoya Grampus kept up their remarkable form with a 4-1 win over Urawa Reds. Nagoya have won six straight league games and are now clear of the drop zone.
