Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan played his part with a “solid” display as Brighton & Hove Albion stunned Manchester United 3-2 in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Mirror rated Ryan 7/10, writing: ”Did everything calmly and efficiently, made a smart save from Pogba. Solid.”

Brighton raced to a two-goal lead inside the first half hour, before Romelu Lukaku beat Ryan to make it 2-1 before half-time.

Pascal Gross restored Brighton two-goal buffer from a spotkick shortly prior to the interval, with Paul Pogba netting a late consolation penalty.

Aaron Mooy missed Huddersfield’s 6-1 loss to champions Manchester City after his wife Nicola went into labour. Mooy later celebrated the birth of his second child, a boy.

Town boss David Wagner said: “There are some things that are more important than football and that is the case for (Aaron Mooy) today.”
