Socceroos Central: Taggart becomes K-League topscorer

Adam Taggart continued his remarkable goal scoring form with a strike in Suwon Bluewings’ 2-0 win away to Sangju Sangmu in Korea’s K-League on Sunday.

Taggart netted Suwon’s second goal in the 69th minute, taking him to 11 goals for the 2019 K-League season.

The Australian striker had scored a double in midweek to become the top scorer in the K-League.

Aleksandar Jovanovic played a full game as Jeju United drew 1-1 with Pohang Steelers on Saturday, while Bernie Ibini was a 63rd minute substitute for Jeonbuk Motors in their 1-1 draw with Ulsan Hyundai.

In Japan’s J.League on Saturday, Mitchell Langerak put in a full shift as Nagoya Grampus’ form slump continued with a 3-0 loss away to Cerezo Osaka.

Andrew Nabbout was absent as Urawa Reds went down 3-1 away to Ange Postecoglou’s Yokohama F. Marinos on Saturday.

In the J2.League, Jason Geria started and played 79 minutes in JEF United's 2-2 draw at Gifu.

In USA’s MLS on Sunday, Brad Smith played a full game at left-back as Seattle Sounders edged Atlanta United 2-1.
