Adam Taggart scored two goals to boost his season tally to three as Suwon Bluewings drew 3-3 with FC Seoul in the Korean K League on Saturday.

Taggart opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a cool penalty where he sent the opposition goalkeeper the wrong way.

The Australian made it 2-1 in the 42nd minute when he reacted fastest to a rebound from Seoul goalkeeper Yu Sang-Hun’s save to force the ball home from close range.

Taggart now has three goals from nine matches this K League season having started the campaign slowly.

Taggart played the whole 90 minutes while Terry Antonis was an unused sub.

On Sunday, Brandon O’Neill started and played 56 minutes as Pohang Steelers won 4-0 at Seongnam.

O’Neill played his usual deep midfield role and wasn’t involved in any of his side’s goals.

Aaron Mooy got an assist and Mat Ryan kept a clean sheet as Brighton & Hove Albion moved a giant step towards safety with a 1-0 win at Norwich City in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Mooy found space on the right flank before whipping in a pinpoint low ball for Leandro Trossard to score the game’s only goal in the 25th minute.

Mooy started and was replaced after 72 minutes, receiving a 7/10 rating from the Brighton & Hove Independent.

“Played on the right of midfield,” they wrote. “Nice cross for Trossard's opening goal. A good display from the former Huddersfield man.”

Ryan earned a 6/10 rating from the Brighton & Hove Independent who wrote: “Did well when called upon. Norwich attacking threat was minimal but remained alert especially during a nervy last 10.”

In the English Championship on Sunday, Massimo Luongo started and played 70 minutes as Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-1 at Swansea City.

Luongo only received a 5/10 rating from the Yorkshire Post who wrote: “Did not do enough to influence the game from the midfield.”
