Midweek Roos Central: Degenek debuts, Williams' goal & own goal

Milos Degenek made his debut for new Saudi club Al Hilal in a big win, while Rhys Williams scored a goal and an own goal in the same league.

Firstly to the Saudi Arabian Pro League where Milos Degenek started and put in 90 minutes as Al Hilal defeated Al Fateh 4-1.

Degenek debuted and played his part in the triumph, helping Al Hilal remain top of the table.

The Socceroo wrote on Instagram after the game: “Was a wonderful support from our fans. Looking forward to more games and a lot of success.”

Rhys Williams scored a goal and an own goal as Al Qadisiya lost 3-1 at Brad Jones’ Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia’s Pro League.

Williams netted in the 71st minute, before scoring an own goal 10 minutes later which gave Al Nassr a 2-1 lead.

Jones, Williams and Jack Duncan all played the full 90 minutes in the match.

Massimo Luongo put in a full shift in midfield as QPR moved into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Portsmouth.

Mat Ryan was rested as Brighton & Hove Albion also moved into the fifth round with a 3-1 extra-time win over West Brom.

Ben Garuccio was overlooked again as Hearts drew 0-0 with Livingston in the Scottish Premiership.

Mark Milligan put in a full shift and spurned a good goal chance as Hibernian lost 2-0 at Celtic.
