A stunning start to the season by Arsenal has caught the eye of many Betstar punters, after opening at $13 they’ve trimmed into $9 following some gritty performances and that last minute equaliser against City. That $9 is still great value as their draw will open up now. I don’t think too many will be shocked to hear the Manchester teams still lead the way in title betting, City and United equal favourites at $2.75, Chelsea into $5 and outside of Arsenal at $9 punters give no one else a sniff.

The Gunners face a stern test this weekend when they host London rivals Chelsea. The Blues are currently sitting on top of the table and relied on a late goal from Ashley Cole at the weekend to take the three points. Arsenal is $2.10 for the win at the Emirates, Chelsea $3.40 and if you can’t split them - $3.35 the draw.

Everton have started the season like it’s the end of one! (you know what I mean) and they’re favoured $1.39 to pick up the three points at Goodison against Southampton $7.60. Man City $1.80 have a tricky one away to Fulham $4.30, same goes for Liverpool too, the Reds are $1.73 to pick up their first win when they travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich $4.60.

After breaking Liverpool’s hearts last weekend, Man U head back home to host Tottenham. The last time Spurs won there King Henry VIII was on to his sixth shag, so with that in mind, United at $1.54 are good things. Spurs $5.70 for the major upset.

With A-League kicking off next week, punters surprisingly are taking notice of pre-season form where Perth Glory was on fire. Perth’s shortened significantly since they opened at $8.50 now into $5.50, however Brisbane still $4.25 for three in a row, Sydney FC into $5.75, Ange’s Victory at $6 and the team that finished on top at the end of last season’s table are incredibly fifth in betting at $6.50.

Brett Holman’s Aston Villa let us down in our Multi last week for Charity but we’re confident to get back in the winner’s circle right away. This week we’ve gone with Chelsea +0.5pts line (v Arsenal) into Reading +0.5pts line (v Newcastle) into QPR (v West Ham) $5 at $5.30 bringing our balance to $220.32 for Charity… a decent start to the season!

Finally, well done punters, too good for us last week! Stevie G got it done and you cleaned us up in the ‘Captains Goal’ special! This week we’re ready to look after you once again at Betstar and we’re sticking with the heroes at Merseyside. You can get both Merseysiders to win (Everton and Liverpool) in our “Merseyside Magic” special for the cracking price of $3.00 (normally $2.40) Max bet $50.

Remember if you’re not already a part of the crew at, when you sign-up please make sure you enter ‘GGARMY’ in the promo code to support Australia’s Football Fan network - the Green and Gold Army.

Until next week, happy punting!
