The time has come, no more slip ups can be afforded as the Socceroos head to Qatar to face Iraq on Tuesday night in a vital World Cup qualifier.

When Betstar went up on Thursday at $2.02 for Australia punters jumped at the price, it’s always hard to say if they’re betting with their head or heart but either way the Socceroos are now at $1.95 to claim the crucial win. Iraq’s $3.70 for an upset win or you can get $3.45 for a draw.

Betstar has markets for every World Cup qualification zone so don’t forget to check out throughout the next week.

To the great distress of Wellington and many teams, the A-League is still kicking around this weekend but really it’s a must by FFA to cash in on all the pre-season hype so we can’t blame them. It kicks off with Adelaide’s first home game of the season as they back-up from an impressive first up win away to Newcastle. The Reds are $1.63 and you’d be brave to back the Wanderers at $5.30 but the Red and Black Black will be stoked with last week’s efforts and they will win sooner or later!

The Sky Blues will aim for a maiden win as Ale has his home debut, $2 for Sydney FC against big Emile Heskey and his Jets, they’re $3.60 to spoil the party at Allianz Stadium, $3.35 the draw.

Ange returns to Brisbane Saturday Night and expect him to only get a lukewarm reception and not the points. Brisbane Roar will be disappointed not to get anything out of the match last week against Perth but expect them to bounce back here with a number of big in’s against Victory. Brisbane $1.72 at Suncorp, Melbourne Victory $4.70 would be a huge boil over with key players
on International duties.

The Red half of Melbourne has scored bragging rights again and they are the only team to stay in the same city during the first two rounds. Heart also have the benefit of facing a significantly weakened Wellington team with their Kiwi’s on international duties too. $1.62 seems free money but can Ifill and the lads get it done in Ricki’s absense? Unlikely say Betstar punters, $5.30.

Finally, the Mariners head home for the first time and they’ll look to improve after their lackluster affair again Western Sydney. $2.04 for the win and Perth’s $3.55 to make it six points from six.

Oh so close with our bet for Charity last week… ouch! But maybe we’ll have more luck this week with all the internationals… we’re going with: Russia +0.5pts (v Portugal) into Australia +0.5pts (v Iraq) into a Draw between Central Coast and Perth in A-League. $5 at $9.53

And finally, punters can get our very generous A-League special this week. You can get Sydney FC into Brisbane Roar titled “Bounce Back special” for $4! (normally $3.44) Max bet $50!
