Mark Bresciano's Lazio notched up a 2-0 victory over the Australian's former team Parma on Sunday, taking the Romans to fourth place in the Italian league with just two rounds left.

The 31-year-old Victorian midfielder who joined Lazio last year on a two-year contract, hosted his ex-club at Stadio Olympico on Sunday in a showdown that will keep Parma at the bottom end of the serie A table.

The win was never in doubt for Lazio who kept possession for the duration, scoring in the 23rd and 77th minutes.

However Bresciano's hopes of hitting the back of the net against his former team did not eventuate, his only match statistic a yellow card in the 31st minute for a bad foul, before the Australian representative was substituted by Alvaro Gonzalez.

In the Turkish Super Lig, Sydney-born Mile Jedinak helped Genclerbirligi to a 4-1 upset over fifth-placed Kayserispor at Mayis Stadium, finding the net in the 89th minute.

Returning from Socceroos duty last week, Jedinak has found his scoring legs with goals in both rounds, after not having had a start for Genclerbirligi since February.

Fellow Australian James Troisi and his Kayserispor teammates answered only once in the 68th minute, leaving the side with a second successive loss, and in danger of losing fifth place on the ladder.
