The Matildas skipper also spurned a golden opportunity from Ji So-Yun’s cross, heading wide at the near post.

Kerr was involved in the lead-up play for the third goal when her toe-poked ball across goal caused chaos, with Fran Kirby eventually firing home the loose ball.

In the 55th minute, Kerr scored when she her defender to glance home Bethany England’s left-wing cross to make it 4-0.

Kerr also had more chances to score, heading over the bar and firing high and wide on a break in a lopsided contest.

Ella Mastrantonio was an unused sub for City.

Hayley Raso was a 61st minute substitute as Everton drew 1-1 away to Reading on Sunday.

Once again, Caitlin Foord, Lydia Williams and Steph Catley’s Arsenal had a game postponed, this time against Aston Villa due to a frozen pitch on Sunday.
