Zach Duncan returned from long-term injury, Deni Juric and Anthony Carter netted goals, Callum Elder celebrated promotion and Aaron Mooy was back in action in China.

Zach Duncan made his return from a long-term ACL injury as an 83rd minute substitute in AGF's 2-1home loss to FC Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga on Sunday.

The 20-year-old Australian midfielder earned his first competitive minutes since sustaining the serious knee injury in May last year.

Alex Gersbach and Daniel Arzani weren’t in the AGF matchday squad.

Nikola Mileusnic started but was replaced at half-time as Randers lost 2-0 at Brondby.

Lawrence Thomas kept a clean sheet as SonderjyskE edged Vejle 1-0 on Sunday.

Thomas made a brilliant diving save in the 18th minute from Hugo Ekitike before Stefan Gartermann cleared the goalbound bouncing ball off the line to keep it 0-0.

Anthony Carter got the match winner as Academico Viseu defeated FC Porto II 1-0 in the Portuguese Segunda Liga on Sunday.

Carter netted the game's only goal in the 52nd minute before being replaced in the 87th minute.

The 26-year-old Melbourne-born attacker has now scored six league goals this season.

Deni Juric scored a goal and provided the assist for another as NK Sibenik won 2-0 over Slaven Koprivnica in the Croatian Prva HNL on Saturday.

Juric, who scored in the eighth minute, started and played 78 minutes, taking his season goal tally to 11 strikes.

Mat Ryan was an unused sub as number one Bernd Leno made a decisive error on Friday night as Arsenal lost 1-0 at home to Everton in the Premier League.

Riley McGree started and played 53 minutes as Birmingham City won 2-1 at Derby County in the English Championship on Saturday.

Birmingham Live rated McGree 5/10 and wrote: "Gave Roos one nervy first half moment with an inswinging corner but other than that on the periphery of the first 45. Taken off early in the second."

Harry Souttar put in a full shift as Stoke City drew 1-1 at Nottingham Forest.

The Stoke Sentinel rated Souttar 6/10 and wrote: "Rush of blood when he tried to nip in front of Grabban in first-half. A couple of important touches."

Massimo Luongo was absent as struggling Sheffield Wednesday lost 3-1 at Middlesbrough, seeing the Owls creep closer to relegation.

Callum Elder played a full game as Hull City secured promotion from League One with a 2-1 win at Lincoln City on Saturday.

The Hull Daily Mail rated all players 10/10 and wrote about Elder: "A good, solid day against a talented attack. Up and down all afternoon, barely put a foot wrong."

Aaron Mooy was back in action during the week as Shanghai Port won 6-1 at Tianjin Teda, with the Socceoro playing 78 minutes as the Chinese season commenced.
