  • 24 October 2011 Solid game for Mark, but Fulham fail to get the points -

    Socceroo Tim Cahill won the battle of the Aussies in the Premier League on Sunday, although he was relegated to the bench, as Everton defeated Mark Schwarzer's Fulham 3-1.

    Schwarzer had a solid game for the Cottagers and wasn't at fault for any of the three goals.

  • 20 September 2011 Schwarzer turns back the clock -

    Mark Schwarzer was in some inspired form as the Cottagers came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with the Sky Blues on Sunday.

    Sergio Aguero had put City ahead on 18 minutes, before Schwarzer made a series of fine saves to deny Gael Clichy's long-range effort and Edin Dzeko's snapshot.

    Aguero doubled the Sky Blues advantage straight after the break with a fine shot from outside the box, before Fulham hit back with Bobby Zamora and Danny Murphy scoring to rescue a point which lifts them off the foot of the table.

    After the game, Schwarzer tweeted: “Big result for us today, a fantastic come back and well deserved! Great support as ever at the Cottage today, a big thanks to all:)”.

  • 29 August 2011 Poor start continues in EPL -

    Mark Schwarzer played a full game as Fulham lost 2-1 to Newcastle on Sunday. The Aussie keeper might have done better to prevent the Magpies first goal too after failing to hang onto a shot which allowed Leon Best to scramble home from close range.

    In the Europa League on Thursday, Socceroos shot-stopper Mark Schwarzer was back to his best after his mistake on the weekend, with a sharp performance where he was kept busy as Fulham lost 1-0 to Dnipro.

    Despite the defeat, the Cottagers progressed to the group stage 3-1 on aggregate, much to Schwarzer's delight.

    The 38-year-old Aussie tweeted after the game: “Great performance tonight. He[re] we go again, buzzin:) I love playing in Europe!”
